Seems like a good method. Is the bar made of aluminium, iron or steel? Which material and dimensions do you recommend for it? I looked around and all options seem expensive so I don't want to risk buying the wrong stuff. I want to use this method to repair my grandfather's old guitar and perhaps also some future projects.

I have this exact same guitar. I would like to change the eq as it’s the original crafter and takes a pp3 battery.

I just pull the strings through all the way and then lock it. I've never had strings break that way.

Interesting. I've got a Simon Patrick with a bow the other way between 1st and 4th fret. Truss rod ain't straightening it, so nothing to lose trying this.

Hello Victor, Just a quick update sir. Jake keeps going back to his short scale Bronco Bass as its easier for his hands to make the stretches. This instrument isn't getting the attention it deserves but hes trying to stick with it and he is still young and growing. We took this to a professional Bass player recently and what he could do with it was amazing, it sounded fantastic. Echoing your comment, he said it was better than many Fenders he had played in his career, which was nice. Good luck to you sir and your family wherever life and fate take you in the future. I have one, its a beautiful guitar but unfortunetly its a dead ringer. Its anemic and does not project. Not what you would expect from a J-45 copy. The best j-45s out there are light and nimble, this is a heeavy set dead weight that does not ring, its just boring.....

After a while the truss rods make the neck s shaped, and the strings put a twist in them. To fix that we have to take all the frets of and sand the finger board level and re profile it. Then re fret it and adjust the frets again after it is re strung. A few microns makes quite a difference. It takes quite a long time, but necks are only going to bend and twist so much. Once it is done we get a well playing instrument and it will probably stay that way.

I bought one of those. I had to set the intonation on it and that was all. The frets are perfect.

Neck radius on a ‘Contemporary’ range Strat MIJ is 12”. Fender made 3 trem types - system 1, 2 & 3. System 1 was made by Schaller.

I just recently ordered a LP style guitar from Amazon. It is made by Bullstar, it is their Bullfighter LP style guitar. I got the last one as of May 2024 & I am very impressed with it all except fornthe thick neck & the finish on the neck. I prefer a thin neck that is satin finished with only tong oil. My point is, for $130 dollars, $150. After all taxes, fee's, delivered to my door without any damage to the box at all, from Callifornia to Ohio (over 3,000 miles) shipped through USPS, without any damage to the box at all. I am amazed by this Bullstar/ Bullfighter LP style guitar from amazon. Simply baffled!!!

I want a black bone nut but, idk how to die it? Also, I don't have nut files so, if I don't purchase a pre cut nut, il need to purchase files & possibly a chisel to remove any remaining glue under thr original nut. I'm sure il need the nut filed to fine tune the slots regardless.

I need to replace the nut on my matte black Schector C6 Deluxe. I purchased it used, & put it on layaway. I thought I heard some buzzing yet when I paid it off, it played beautifully! The second I down tuned the strings, everything went to crap! Buzzing on thr D string. Until payday, I'm currently trying this powder meant to repair acrylic nails, & super glue. Hopefully it works but, Friday I will order a new nut. Can u please tell me what tuner your using? I like it a lot. I think it's a Korg but, what model????

There is an easier way and you don't have to cut off the mini connector (which makes the mod completely reversable). Disconnect the old Gibson pickups, then, using a multimeter, buzz out the pickup PCB connector to the associated PCB pads. After working out the appropriate colour code transpositions, solder the new pickup wiring to the identified solder pads. Just be aware, Gibson use high temperature solder, so you need a very hot iron and get in quickly, not overheating the PCB pad.

I got one of these little beauties brand new in 2000. It is still in brand new condition. Never been gigged. The reason is that I play Kramers onstage, but this Special is REALLY special! A keeper!

Hi! I am wondering what is the string action for this guitar, the string of my guitar seems to be really separate like of a centimeter in the last fret
